When they contacted me they were looking for someone to understand who they were and their vision for their wedding weekend. One thing I learned very quickly was that Nicholas and Jackson had different approaches to the planning process. Nicholas considered himself the dreamer and visionary, and that he was! He knew what he liked in design; he had an idea of how he wanted to experience the American Yacht Club, which he had grown up going to, and he wanted it to feel different than the ever day "club" and more like who he an Jackson were.

Jackson the practical one who wanted to understand the logistics, how things would play out, and what details we going to have the biggest impact for their guests. Together they made such a wonderful team and I absolutely love creating a planning process that support both people and makes them feel comfortable and confident in their own unique ways.

Working with Nicholas and Jackson was a so fun.

The entire weekend was was full of love, timeless nautical accents, and fun experiences. They have great style, and their attention to detail and design allowed me to do what I love to do: create intentional details that have an impact paired with fun experiences like oyster shuckers!

From the modern approach with the hydrengas that replicated the water off into the distance at their ceremony, to the cute custom boat signs, the oyster seating chart (Nicholas' Mom painted all the oysters herself!), to the oyster shuckers during cocktail hour the wedding a the American Yacht Club was one we will remember forever.
